The set perfectly matches the sets 74133 and 74163 In the 1990s, the vehicle fleet of the German Federal Railways became a colourful mix. The reason for this was that some of the wagons had already been repainted in the new company colours - while many of them still appeared in the old red-beige and ocean blue-beige livery. Colourful trains were characteristic for this epoch and could be seen from miles away. This was also the case with the prototype train of our EC 11 with the sonorous name "Leonardo da Vinci"( timetable year 1990). Not only business travelers loved it to take this train and used the practical connection but also, during the holidays, the train was extremely popular with tourists. In the morning the train departed in Dortmund and in the evening the travelers already enjoyed the Italian way of life.
